So my kitchen theme is yellow! Sunny yellow! For the little valance over the sink I wanted to add a bit more color so I picked this beautiful fabric with all my favorite colors in it! This is an easy way to add color to your kitchen or anywhere you can fit a small tension rod! I got this one from walmart for less than $3 and it will stretch up to 48″. Easy!
I have made several of these little beauties for people. They are SO handy! I wear mine almost everyday and the 3 large front pockets are essential to my busy body self. I highly recommend you ordering one of these for yourself. Once you get used to having those 3 pockets you’ll find you can’t live without them!!
Although I’m late with a few posts I wanted to share this special little flower! While I was sick during the holidays this past year I was unable to get to my sewing machine. I have wanted to learn how to crochet for quite a while and I took this opportunity to do so while I was stuck on the couch and in the bed. I started out with simple Granny squares and picked it up pretty fast. There are just a few basic stitches and once you know those then it starts flowing pretty easily. I’m especially proud of this dogwood flower as it was a more ‘advanced’ lesson! =) Plus, I LOVE dogwood flowers!
This is for all the tea and coffee drinkers out there!! So cute! I love making patchwork goodies! If you are a sewer you can find the tutorial here!
